Lake Forest College Men's Soccer News & Notes    September 23, 1999       Contact:  Scott Rucker, SID   ABELN NAMED FORESTER ATHLETE OF THE WEEK      Men's soccer player Troy Abeln (Bloomington, MN/Bloomington Kennedy High School) has been selected the Forester Athlete of the Week by the Lake Forest College Athletic Department. Abeln, an All-Conference defenseman last season, successfully made the switch to the midfield position last week and helped the Foresters win their first game of the season after two straight double overtime losses over the weekend. Abeln, a junior, gave the Foresters much needed ball handling and leadership from his midfield position..       Lake Forest picked up their first win of the 1999 season at Carthage, where they defeated the Redmen 2-1. Last Saturday and Sunday the Foresters dropped consecutive double overtime games - 1-2 to Knox on Saturday and 2-3 to St. Norbert on Sunday.
