Loss to Carthage is Foresters’ Second Consecutive 1-0 Defeat
Visitors score game’s only goal in 61st minute

Lake Forest, Ill. – The Lake Forest College men’s soccer team fell 1-0 at home to Carthage College Wednesday (September 27) afternoon. It was the team’s second straight 1-0 defeat and dropped its record on the year to 5-2-0. The Red Men raised their mark to 6-2-2.

After a scoreless opening period, Carthage finally got on the scoreboard in the 61st minute with what turned out to be the game’s only goal.

The Foresters out-shot the visitors 16-9 and put nine shots on goal but were unable to score.

Lake Forest will resume Midwest Conference play on Saturday (September 30) at Lawrence University. The game is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m.
