Foresters Run MWC Record to 4-1-0 With 6-0 Win At Lawrence
Dan Carver Scores Two Goals for Second Straight Game

APPLETON, WI - Lake Forest scored all six of their goals in the second half to roll past Lawrence University, 6-0, of Saturday (September 30th) in Appleton, WI. It was the fourth straight win for the Foresters, who are now 3-0-0 on the road this season.

For Lake Forest (4-2-0, 4-1-0 MWC), sophomore goalkeeper Ed Elliott (Decatur, IL/Culver Military Academy (IN)) recorded his second shutout in four Midwest Conference games this season. The shutout lowered his goals against average under one to 0.99.

Lawrence (0-7-0, 0-3-0 MWC) remained winless on the season.

After playing a score scoreless first half, the Foresters got on the board with Evan Klaus's (Belvedere, CA) first goal of the season. Klaus's goal, which was also the first of his career for the freshman, came in the 48th minute.

Another freshman, Dan Carver (Deerfield, IL/Deerfield), struck just three and a half minutes later, assisted by Klaus. 

Chris Mickschl (Glendale, WI/Nicolet) and Steve Teisl (Chardon, OH/Gilmour Academy) each scored their third goal of the season within three minutes of each other to give Lake Forest leads of 3-0, then 4-0. Teisl's goal was assisted by Jeff Russo (Libertyville, IL/Libertyville). 

Carver scored his second goal of the game, assisted by Chad Mickschl (Glendale, WI/Nicolet), in the 73rd minute. Since coming off an injury, Carver has scored two goals in each of the two games he has played this season. His four goals lead the team.

Robbie Capogna's (Bremerton, WA/Olympic) second goal of the season capped the scoring for the game.

Lake Forest will be back in action tomorrow, when they host non-conference foe UW-Platteville on Sunday at 1:00.
