GALESBURG, IL - The Lake Forest College men's soccer team began defense of its Midwest Conference title Saturday (September 7) with a 4-2 victory at Knox College. The win is the ninth in ten tries all-time against Knox.

Senior goalkeeper Ed Elliott (Decatur, IL/Culver Military Academy-IN) tallied three saves and held the Prairie Fire scoreless the entire first half to even his record on the season at 1-1.

The Foresters' next game will be another MWC match-up next Saturday (September 14) at Lawrence University. Lake Forest (1-1 overall, 1-0 MWC) will look to avenge a 1-0 loss at the hands of the Vikings late last season.
