Foresters Fall to University of Chicago
Team loses bid for second consecutive win

LAKE FOREST, IL - The Lake Forest College men's tennis team hosted the University of Chicago Wednesday (April 10) at the Lake Forest High School East campus, attempting to build on their success of last weekend. Unfortunately the Maroons did not cooperate, as the Foresters were defeated 0-7.

Sophomore Spencer Peoples (Scottsdale, AZ/New Mexico Military Institute) and senior Evan Hall (Norwich, VT/Loomis Chaffee School) were the only Foresters to take a set from the visitors, both winning the first of three sets in their respective matches. Peoples was eventually defeated 7-5, 4-6, 3-6 in his #1 singles match, and Hall fell at #4 by the scores of 6-2, 4-6, 3-6.

Lake Forest continues their tough non-conference schedule Friday, April 12, as Illinois Wesleyan University rolls into town for a match at Lake Forest High School's West campus. Weather permitting, the match is scheduled to begin at 3:00pm. The Foresters will take to the courts again Saturday at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater team tournament.
