Foresters 11-3 after Defeating Aurora University at Home
Team matched fifth-highest win total in program history

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - The Lake Forest College men’s tennis team recorded an 8-1 victory over visiting Aurora University on Tuesday (April 10). The Foresters are now 11-3 on the season while the Spartans fell to 2-2.

Lake Forest claimed victory at each of the three doubles positions. Freshman Alex Presman (Deerfield, Ill/Deerfield) and junior Tim Tierney (Woodstock, Ill./Woodstock) triumphed 8-4 at the top spot in the lineup and sophomore Andrew Fretter (Bloomfield, Mich./Cranbrook Kingswood) prevailed with senior Ben Larsen (Oconomowoc, Wis./Oconomowoc) by the same score at number two. Sophomore Will Hiemenz (St. Louis, Mo./Chaminade) and freshman Joe Campagna (Elmwood Park, Ill./Fenwick) blanked their opponents 8-0 at number three.

In singles, sophomore Ricky Galvez (Poolville, N.Y./Hamilton Central) posted a 6-2, 6-4 victory at number one and Presman won 6-1, 6-2 at two. Hiemenz and Fretter registered 6-0, 6-0 triumphs at numbers three and five, respectively, and Campagna was almost as impressive in his 6-1, 6-0 win at number six, where he owns a team-best 11-2 record this season.

The Foresters are scheduled to take on Rockford College at home tomorrow afternoon at 4:00 and travel to Carroll College on Thursday (April 12) for another 4:00 contest.
