Nick Londy placed second at #6 singles and #2 doubles.
WHITEWATER, WI - The Forester men's tennis team traveled to UW-Whitewater Saturday (April 13th) and finished third in the Warhawk Invitational tournament. The host team won the event and Concordia University (WI) placed second.

Junior Nick Londy (Jackson Hole, WY/Berkshire Preparatory School) was at least partially responsible for two of Lake Forest's three second-place finishes. At number six singles, he advanced to the finals after a 6-2, 7-6 (7-5) first-round victory. At number two doubles, Londy teamed with senior Evan Hall (Norwich, VT/Loomis Chaffee School) on an 8-2 round one win but fell in the finals.

The Foresters' other runner-up finish was at number four singles, where sophomore Luke Figora (Yorkville, IL/Yorkville) notched a 6-1, 6-3 victory to advance to the finals, where he was defeated by a player from UW-Whitewater. The Warhawks had all three doubles team champions and also placed first at each of the six singles positions.

Lake Forest's next scheduled match will be on Wednesday (April 17th) when it hosts Beloit College at 3:30 PM. The teams will play at the Lake Forest High School East Campus. The Foresters will travel to Carroll College on Thursday (April 18th) and to Carthage College on Saturday (April 20th) to take on both Carthage and UW-Oshkosh.
