Foresters Climb Above .500-Mark With Three Victories
Team defeats Beloit, Dominican, and MSOE
  

Sebastian Bienia was one of three Foresters who were perfect on the weekend.
LAKE FOREST, IL - The Forester men's tennis team recorded three victories without a loss over the weekend (April 12-13) to improve its record on the year to 7-6. Lake Forest won 5-2 at Beloit College on Saturday and defeated Dominican University 6-1 and the Milwaukee School of Engineering 4-3 on Sunday.

Freshmen Rob Burda (Meridian, ID/Meridian) and Sebastian Bienia (Lemont, IL/Lemont), as well as junior Luke Figora (Yorkville, IL/Yorkville), were each undefeated in both singles and doubles play in the three matches. Burda played at number four singles and partnered with fellow freshmanNick Sandner (Lake Bluff, IL/Lake Forest) at number two doubles. Figora and Bienia played at numbers five and six singles, respectively, and teamed up at number three doubles.

The Foresters were defeated at numbers one and two singles and number one doubles at Beloit. Along with the victories by Burda, Figora, and Bienia, Sandner won his singles match at number three.

Against Dominican, the same four players were once again victorious and were joined by senior Andrew Schuman (San Francisco, CA/Lawrence Academy) at number two singles.

The Milwaukee School of Engineering gave Lake Forest its toughest competition over the weekend, winning at numbers one through three singles and at number one doubles.

The Foresters will be back out on the home courts on Tuesday (April 15) when they host Carthage College at 3:00 p.m. Lake Forest will also host Aurora University on Thursday (April 17) and will travel to Galesburg, Illinois on Saturday (April 19) to take on Midwest Conference foes Monmouth College and Knox College. Wins over Monmouth and Knox would ensure the Foresters a spot in the four-team MWC Team Championship Tournament on April 25.
