Four-Match Winning Streak Snapped by Elmhurst
Foresters win at #6 singles and #3 doubles

LAKE FOREST, IL - The Lake Forest College men’s tennis team fell 6-1 to Elmhurst College at home on Wednesday (April 13). The Foresters had won four consecutive matches and are now 4-7 on the season. The Bluejays raised their record to 9-4.

While Lake Forest was not able to earn the doubles point, the team did prevail at the number three position. Senior Alex Pukshansky (Buffalo Grove, IL/Stevenson) and sophomore Alex Godin (Northbrook, IL/Glenbrook North) defeated their Elmhurst counterparts 8-5.

The only Forester to win in singles was freshman Brayton Groth (Bloomfield Hill, MI/Cranbrook Kingswood), who defeated his opponent 6-2, 6-2 at number six.

Lake Forest will put its 1-1 Midwest Conference South Division record on the line on Saturday (April 16) at both Knox College (9:00 a.m.) and Monmouth College (1:00 p.m.).
