Foresters Fall to Pair of Ranked Opponents
Team is 15-5 after losses to Carthage and Chicago

CHICAGO, Ill. - The Lake Forest College men’s tennis team dropped a pair of midweek matches to ranked opponents and is now 15-5 on the season. The Foresters fell 7-2 to visiting Carthage College, the 16th-ranked team in the Central Region, on Tuesday and was defeated 9-0 at the University of Chicago, the 18th-ranked team in the nation, on Wednesday.

Freshman Chris Paterakos (Wilmette, Ill./New Trier) was victorious in both of his matches against Carthage. He and sophomore Joe Campagna (Elmwood Park, Ill./Fenwick) triumphed 8-3 at #3 doubles before prevailing 6-2, 3-6, (10-5) at #5 singles.

The Foresters will conclude their regular season next Tuesday (April 22) at Concordia University Chicago. The match will begin at 3:30 p.m.

Lake Forest will likely be the Midwest Conference South Division’s #2 seed in the MWC Championship Tournament next Friday (April 25). The league’s individual singles and doubles tournaments will be played next Saturday and Sunday (April 26-27), respectively.
