Lake Forest Falls to 10-10 with Loss to Carthage
Team will try for winning season Saturday against Knox

Nick Sandner almost had his
15th singles win of the year.
LAKE FOREST, IL - The Forester men’s tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to Carthage College at home on Wednesday (April 19). Lake Forest is now 10-10 on the year while the Red Men, the 15th-ranked team in the country, raised their mark to 18-4.

The closest match of the contest was at number three singles where Nick Sandner (Lake Bluff, IL/Lake Forest) dropped the first set 6-0 before being narrowly edged out 11-9 in the second set tiebreak.

Lake Forest will host Knox College Saturday (April 22) afternoon at 1:00 in both teams’ final contest before competing in next weekend’s (April 29-30) Midwest Conference Singles and Doubles Tournaments. A victory would give the Foresters their first winning season since the 2000 team posted a 17-5 overall record.
