Lake Forest Sweeps Concordia, Falls to UW-Whitewater 
Foresters win at #2 and #3 doubles in both matches
  

Rob Burda won three times and his only loss went three sets.

The Foresters were victorious at numbers two and three doubles in both matches. Freshmen Nick Sandner (Lake Bluff, IL/Lake Forest) and Rob Burda (Meridian, ID/Meridian) teamed up at number two to defeat Concordia 8-1 and Whitewater 9-7. Junior Luke Figora (Yorkville, IL/Yorkville) and freshman Sebastian Bienia (Lemont, IL/Lemont) topped both Concordia and Whitewater's number three teams 8-1.

At Concordia, Lake Forest won in straight sets at all six positions. Sandner prevailed at number one 6-1, 6-1. Sophomore Alex Pukshansky (Buffalo Grove, IL/Stevenson) had the closest match of the day at number two, winning 7-5, 6-3. Burda cruised to a 6-2, 6-0 victory at number three. Sophomore Gabe Beauchamp (Brossard, Quebec/Mt. Hermon School) held off his opponent at number four 6-4, 6-2. Figora and Bienia each shut out his opponent in the first set at numbers five and six, respectively. Figora lost just one game at Bienia two in their second sets.

In addition to the victories at numbers two and three doubles, Beauchamp and senior Andrew Schuman (San Francisco, CA/Lawrence Academy)  also defeated Concordia at number one 8-4.

Whitewater claimed all six singles matches on Wednesday. Burda and Bienia were able to force a third set at numbers two and five, respectively.

The Foresters will begin Midwest Conference South Division play on Saturday (April 5). The team will be in Jacksonville, Illinois to take on Grinnell College at noon and host Illinois College at 3:00 p.m.
