Foresters Return from Difficult Spring Break Trip
Team suffers defeats against Valparaiso and R.P.I.

ORLANDO, FL - The Lake Forest College men's tennis team found the going tough in Orlando, Florida on its annual Spring Break trip. Both matches ended in 7-0 defeats, the first on Monday (March 11th) against Valparaiso University and the second on Friday (March 15th) to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Number one singles player Spencer Peoples (Scottsdale, AZ/New Mexico Military Institute) seemed most equipped to take on the Division I Crusaders from Valparaiso. The sophomore's 6-1, 6-4 loss was the closest any Forester came to winning a match or even a single set.

Against Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Lake Forest's only victory was at number one doubles, where Peoples teamed with senior Konrad Bienia (Lemont, IL/St. Lawrence Cathloic) for the 8-5 win.

The Foresters will not play again for two weeks before taking on Macalester College at home on Friday, March 29th at 3:00 PM. The team will also host the Milwaukee School of Engineering the following Thursday (April 4th) and will travel to Midwest Conference foes Lawrence University and St. Norbert College on Saturday, April 6th.
