Tim Tierney Named Forester Athlete of the Week
Sophomore was perfect in singles and doubles play
  

Tim Tierney's play earned him a pair of weekly awards.
LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College tennis player Tim Tierney (Woodstock, IL/Woodstock) was named Forester Athlete of the Week Thursday (March 30) after posting a 6-0 record in singles and double matches combined the previous weekend (March 25-26).

The Foresters won 4-3 at Lawrence University and 7-0 at Marian College on Saturday before returning home for another 7-0 victory over Lakeland College the following afternoon. At number five singles, Tierney triumphed 6-3, 6-1 at Lawrence and 6-0, 6-1 at Marian. The sophomore won 6-1, 6-1 at the number six spot against Lakeland. His 8-5 number two doubles victory at Lawrence, 8-0 rout at the same position at Marian, and 8-0 win at number three on Sunday each came with a different partner.

Tierney was also named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week on Tuesday (March 28).

The Forester Athlete of the Week is chosen by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
