RIVER FOREST, IL - The Lake Forest College men’s tennis team defeated Dominican University 6-1 on the road Wednesday (March 31). The Foresters raised their record to 4-5 on the year while the Stars fell to 0-8.

The visitors won eight of the nine individual matches, beginning with triumphs at all three doubles positions. The number two team of freshman Michael Jolly (Jacksonville, IL/Jacksonville) and sophomore Robert Burda (Meridian, ID/Meridian) won 8-1, as did senior Luke Figora (Yorkville, IL/Yorkville) and sophomore Sebastian Bienia (Lemont, IL/Lemont) at number three.

Dominican’s only win was at number one singles. Jolly did not give up a point and raised his singles record on the season to 5-4 with a 6-0, 6-0 win at number two. Burda prevailed 6-1, 6-2 at number three and Figora knocked off Dominican’s number four player 6-1, 6-3. Godin and Bienia each won 6-0, 6-0 at numbers five and six, respectively. The duo has combined for a 13-2 record in singles matches this year.
