Ray Ro at No. 4 singles dropped just two games during his singles match and the Foresters won the doubles matches by a combined 24-5 score. The Foresters narrowly missed pulling off the upset of Quinnipiac just one day after their win over Albion. Lake Forest used singles victories by Bell at No. 2 (6-4, 6-2), Ro at No. 4 (6-1, 6-4) and Guerin Williams at No. 6 (6-3, 6-2) to split in singles play, but managed just an 8-1 victory by Kelly and Bell in doubles play and dropped the match 4-3. On Friday, the Foresters found themselves overmatched versus Radford. Each singles competitor was defeated in straight sets and all three doubles teams were defeated by 8-2 scores. Lake Forest's overall record now stands at 3-2 (3-0 vs. DIII opponents). |
