KELLY NAMED LAKE FOREST COLLEGE MEN'S TENNIS MVP

Lake Forest College senior David Kelly (Wilmette, IL/New Trier High School) was named the team's Most Valuable Player, while senior Chad Anderson (Lake Villa, IL/Antioch H.S.) was tabbed as the Most Improved Player for the 2000 season.

The awards were presented at Sunday's (April 30th) Winter/Spring Lake Forest College Athletic Banquet. 

Kelly finished the 2000 season with a 13-8 record in singles action and a 9-9 doubles mark. He was the MWC runner-up at No. 1 singles and, along with senior Shane Bell (Scarborough, Ontario/Malvern Collegiate Institute), lost in the semifinals of the No.1 doubles bracket. 

Anderson compiled a 1-1 singles record and 0-2 doubles mark in varsity action. Additionally, he was 2-0 in exhibition matches.

As a team, the Foresters finished as the MWC runner-up this season and won a school record 17 wins with just 5 losses.
