Nancy Findeisen Named Midwest Conference Player of the Week 
Junior began season with 4-1 record and .389 batting average
  

 Nancy Findeisen has been the team's best pitcher and one of its top hitters this season.
LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College softball player Nancy Findeisen (Beecher, IL/ Beecher) was named Midwest Conference Player of the Week Tuesday (April 1). Findeisen helped the Foresters to a 7-2 record at the Rebel Spring Games in Kissimmee, Florida and a doubleheader split at North Central College on Saturday (March 29).

Findeisen has started five games at pitcher and appeared in one more as a pinch hitter. She leads the team with a 4-1 record, two shutouts, and 20 strikeouts. The junior has a 1.06 earned run average and has not allowed a run in her last 16 innings of work.

The switch-hitter has also been successful at the plate so far this season, posting a .389 batting with a double, three runs scored, and one batted in. She leads the Foresters with three multi-hit games.

Findeisen set school records last year for victories (19-6), ERA (0.75), shutouts (10), and strikeouts (156). She was named All-Midwest Conference South Division, First Team All-Great Lakes Region, and Third Team All-American.
