Christy Condon Named Forester Athlete of the Week
Sophomore batted .643 with four home runs last weekend

LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College softball player Christy Condon (Brookfield, WI/Brookfield East) was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday (April 13) for her performance at the previous weekend’s (April 8-9) Midwest Conference Classic, where the team won three of five games.

Condon, a sophomore, batted 1-for-3 in Lake Forest’s first game and 2-for-3 in each of the other four. She belted two over the fence on Saturday, including a walk-off homer to end the Foresters’ 2-1 triumph over Ripon College, and added two more round-trippers on Sunday. She also doubled, tripled, scored five times, and drove in eight runs on the weekend.

Condon is now batting .344 for the season with a team-high six home runs, two shy of the single-season school record.

The Forester Athlete of the Week is chosen by the Athletic Department on Thursdays. She was also named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week on Tuesday.
