Christy Condon Earns Third MWC Performer of the Week Award of the Year
Sophomore set school records for home runs in a season and total bases in a game

Performer of the Week for the
third time this season.
LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College softball player Christy Condon (Brookfield, WI/Brookfield East) was named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week on Tuesday (April 17) after helping lead the Foresters to doubleheader sweeps on Thursday (April 13) and Saturday (April 15).

Lake Forest defeated North Central College 4-2 in the opener and 6-2 in game two on Thursday. Condon was 1-for-3 with a triple, a run scored, and an RBI in the first game and 2-for-3 with a double, a run scored, and another RBI in the second.

On Saturday, Condon helped lead the Foresters to 6-4 and 11-5 victories over Midwest Conference foe Grinnell College. She belted a two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth inning of game one to give the home team a 5-4 lead. Lake Forest won 11-5 in game two and Condon was 4-for-4 in the contest with a pair of home runs, giving her a school record nine round-trippers on the season. She also set a new school record with 10 total bases in the game.

Condon batted .615 (8-for-13) for the week with a double, triple, three home runs, and a 1.538 slugging percentage. She also had six runs scored and as many driven in. The sophomore owns a nine-game hitting streak and has raised her batting average on the year to .392 and slugging percentage to .851.

Midwest Conference Performers of the Week are selected by the league’s sports information director. Condon also earned the award last week and on March 27.
