LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Lake Forest College softball player Nicole Moser (Oak Lawn, Ill./Oak Lawn Community) was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday (April 17) for her performance in three games against Midwest Conference North Division teams on Monday (April 14).

The only out Moser made on the day was as a pinch-hitter in the team’s 12-10 loss in eight innings to Ripon College in the team’s first game.

The Foresters then fell 8-0 to St. Norbert College in five innings, despite Moser reaching base on a single in the first inning, a walk in the third, and another base hit in the fifth.

Lake Forest finished the day with a 6-3 victory over Beloit College. Moser had a bunt single and later scored in the top of the first inning, led off with a single and scored again in the third, and drew a walk before scoring her career-high third run of the contest in the sixth.

Moser is fourth on the squad with a .365 batting average and also ranks among the team leaders in runs scored, base hits, walks, on-base percentage, and stolen bases.
