runs in an eight-day span.
LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College softball player Christy Condon (Brookfield, WI/Brookfield East) was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday (April 20) for her performance as Lake Forest posted a 5-1 record over the last seven days.

The Foresters swept a doubleheader against North Central College at home last Thursday (April 13). Condon batted 3-for-6 on the day with a double, triple, two runs scored and two driven in.

On Saturday (April 15), Condon helped lead the Foresters to another sweep at home against Midwest Conference foe Grinnell College. The sophomore belted a two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth inning of the opener to give the Foresters a 5-4 lead. The team eventually won 6-4. She was then 4-for-4 and hit two over the fence in game two’s 11-5 triumph. Her nine round-trippers on the season are a new school record and one more than the previous mark set by Alissa Mildebrath in 2002.

The Forester Athlete of the Week is chosen by members of the Athletic Department on Thursdays. Condon was also named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week on Monday (April 17) and earned both awards last week as well.
