Hannah Michal Named Forester Athlete of the Week
Senior had six base hits in Saturday's doubleheader

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Lake Forest College softball player Hannah Michal (Lake Villa, Ill./Grayslake) was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday (April 2) for her performance in the team’s doubleheader at Wheaton College the previous Saturday (March 28).

Michal, a senior outfielder, matched her career-high with three base hits in both games of the doubleheader. She also drove in the Foresters’ lone run in the opener, a 6-1 loss. She scored the first run of game two, a 9-4 Wheaton victory.

The 6-for-8 day raised Michal’s batting average on the season to an even .400 (12-for-30) and lifted her on-base percentage to .455. She ranks second on the squad in both categories and tied for the team lead with six runs scored.

Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
