LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Lake Forest College softball player Christy Condon (Brookfield, Wis./Brookfield East) was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday (April 24) for her performance during the previous seven days.

Condon reached the first of two major career milestones in the team’s doubleheader split with Knox College on Saturday (April 19). She was 1-for-3 in the opener, a 5-2 loss, and hit a home run in four at-bats in game two’s 14-5 triumph. She also drove in a pair of runs in the second game, making her the third player in team history with 100 career RBI.

On Monday (April 21) the senior outfielder was 2-for-4 in both games as Lake Forest swept visiting Wheaton College 13-5 (5 innings) and 8-0 (6 innings). She also scored a run and drove in five on the day.

Finally, in a split at the University of Chicago on Tuesday (April 22), Condon was 3-for-7 with a home run in each game, giving her a team-high nine round-trippers on the year. The team won game one 10-6 and fell 7-5 in the nightcap. Condon had four RBI and three runs scored on the day, including the 100th of her career. She is the only player in team history with 100 career runs and runs batted in.

Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays. Condon also earned the award once last season and twice as a sophomore.
