Lisa Jeziorny Named Forester Athlete of the Week
Junior batted .429 in four conference games

LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College softball player Lisa Jeziorny (Orland Park, IL/Carl Sandburg) was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday (April 6) for her contributions to three victories in four Midwest Conference games the previous weekend (March 31-April 1).

Jeziorny was 3-for-4 with a double, run scored, and three RBI in the Foresters’ first game of the weekend, a 7-0 victory at Illinois College. In the second game of the doubleheader, a 6-2 Lake Forest victory, the junior batted 1-for-3 with a triple and scored once.

Lake Forest split a doubleheader at Monmouth College the following afternoon. Jeziorny was 1-for-4 in the opener, an 8-6 Forester victory, and 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored in game two, a 7-1 loss.

Jeziorny caught all four games and finished the weekend with a .429 batting average, three runs scored, three RBI, two doubles, and a triple. She is now batting .432 for the season with six doubles, a triple, a home run, and a .682 slugging percentage.

The Forester Athlete of the Week is chosen by the Athletic Department on Thursdays. Jeziorny also earned the award on March 2 for her exploits on the handball court.
