Erin Watts Named Forester Athlete of the Week
Sophomore batted 6-for-13 in four games last weekend 

  

Erin Watts is batting a team-high .422 this season.
LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College softball player Erin Watts (Evergreen Park, IL/Evergreen Park) was named Forester Athlete of the Week Thursday (April 7) for her performance in a pair of doubleheaders at home last weekend (April 1-2).

After going hitless in three at bats in a 1-0 game one loss to Robert Morris College on Friday, Watts was 3-for-3 with a double and her team-high ninth stolen base of the year in game two. She also scored two runs and drove in one.

In Saturday’s losses to Illinois College, Watts batted 2-for-4 four with a double, run scored, and RBI in the first game and had her third double and run batted in of the weekend in game two.

She had six base hits, including three doubles, in 13 at bats (.462) on the weekend. In addition to stolen bases, Watts also leads the 2005 Foresters with a .422 batting average, an on-base percentage of .447, 19 hits, and five doubles.

The Forester Athlete of the Week is chosen by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
