Lake Forest College Softball  News & Notes April 15, 1999  Contact:  Scott Rucker, SID  For Immediate Release SHUTOUT OF MWC-POWER LAWRENCE EARNS PARKINSON FORESTER AOW      Kate Parkinson, a freshman pitcher from St. Charles, IL (Glenbard East High School) has been named the Forester Athlete of the Week.  Parkinson shutout the two-time defending MWC champs, Lawrence, 4-0 on Saturday at the UW-Oshkosh tournament.  She scattered eight hits over seven innings, while striking out three and walking none.  Also this week, Parkinson held University of Chicago, who came into the game with a 14-1-1 record, and UW-Oshkosh to one run through seven innings before losing both contests in the eighth inning.  Versus Oshkosh, she allowed just two hits.       The Lake Forest College Athletic Department selects the Forester Athlete of the Week.
