Foresters Ring Up 22 Runs in Wins Over Beloit
Lake Forest evens their overall record at 14-14-1

LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College pounded 15 hits, including two home runs, and 22 runs during two wins over visiting Beloit College on Wednesday (April 25th).

Lake Forest (14-14-1) got to the .500 mark for the first time since March 30th with the 11-3 and 11-1 wins. Beloit (3-20) has played and lost to Lake Forest in three of their last four games.

In the first game, the Foresters had eight hits and benefited from seven Beloit walks. Jenn Reifenberg (Skokie, IL/Niles West) went three-for-four at the plate with a double and a home run. She also had three runs batted in and scored three runs. Lake Forest extended a 5-3 lead with six runs in the sixth inning.

In game two, the Foresters scored twice in the fourth inning and nine times in the fifth inning to cruise to an 11-1 win. Seven different Foresters recorded a hit and Carly Gilbert (Berthound, CO/Westminster) allowed four hits and just one run in five innings to get the win.

Lake Forest will play their final regular season games of the season this weekend when they host Monmouth College on Saturday (April 28th) and Illinois College on Sunday (April 29th).
