Lake Forest College Softball  News & Notes April 29, 1999  Contact:  Scott Rucker, SID  For Immediate Release  KARA ELLERBY NAMED FORESTER ATHLETE OF THE WEEK      Kara Ellerby, a third baseman on the Forester softball team, has been named the Forester Athlete of the Week for helping Lake Forest to a 5-1 start in Midwest Conference play.  Ellerby, a freshman from Fort Collins, CO, had a .444 average (8 for 18) in the five games she appeared and started in.  She also contributed four runs, two runs batted in, two doubles, 10 total bases, a .556 slugging percentage, one walk, and a .474 on base percentage.  Her best statistical performance came in the second half of a double header with Grinnell, in which she went four for five, including the game winning hit in the bottom of the eighth inning.       The Lake Forest College Athletic Department selects the Forester Athlete of the Week.
