Tracy Rainey Named Forester Athlete of the Week
Junior was 10-for-28 (.357) at Rebel Spring Games

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Lake Forest College softball player Tracy Rainey (Roselle, Ill./Lake Park) was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday (March 19) for her performance in the team’s final four contests at the Rebel Spring Games in Kissimmee, Florida.

Rainey, a junior shortstop, posted a .444 batting average with two doubles and two runs batted in during the four games combined. She also walked twice for a .500 on-base percentage. Both doubles came in a loss to Ursinus College on Thursday (March 12) and she scored one run and drove in the other in a 2-0 victory over College of Mount St. Joseph on Friday (March 13).

Rainey led the Foresters with a .357 batting average (10-for-28), six doubles, and seven runs batted in during the team’s 10-game Spring Break trip.

Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays. Rainey also earned the award twice in softball and once in basketball during her sophomore year.
