LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College softball player Erin Watts (Evergreen Park, IL/Evergreen Park) was named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week on Tuesday (March 21) for her performance in her team’s nine Tucson Invitational Games last week (March 11-16).

Watts played centerfield and shortstop and batted .500 on the trip. She led the Foresters with 16 base hits, 10 runs scored, and 13 RBI. The junior also stole three bases and belted out two doubles and two triples for a .688 slugging percentage. She had at least one base hit in all but one of the games and is currently riding a seven-game hitting streak.

Watts now has 75 RBI in her two-plus seasons, the second-highest total in team history, and is on-pace to break her own single-season school record of 34. She also ranks among the program’s all-time leaders (top five) in home runs, total bases, slugging percentage, and stolen bases.

Midwest Conference Performers of the Week are selected by the league’s sports information director. Watts also earned the award once last season.
