Kendra Grant Named Forester Athlete of the Week
Junior pitched a complete game shutout last Thursday

Grant, a junior pitcher, hurled the Foresters’ first shutout of the 2007 season. She allowed just five base hits in the contest and struck out two batters. A McDaniel runner reached third base with one out in the first inning and the Green Terror put runners on second and third with no outs in the second, but Grant was able to escape both jams unscathed.

The shutout was the sixth of Grant’s career, tied for third in program history. She is now alone in fifth place in team annals with 23 victories and a 2.31 earned run average over the last two-plus seasons. She is also fourth with 33 complete games.
