Erin Watts Named Forester Athlete of the Week
Junior is closing in on 100 career hits 
  

Erin Watts is now a four-time Forester Athlete of the Week.
LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College softball player Erin Watts (Evergreen Park, IL/Evergreen Park) was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday (March 23) for her performance in the team’s final two games of its Spring Break trip to Tucson the previous Thursday (March 16).

Watts played shortstop in the 4-3 victory over Finlandia University and 5-4 loss to Marian College. The junior batted 3-for-4 and added a stolen base in each game and scored three runs on the day. She also doubled in game one, her fourth extra-base hit of the week.

Watts finished the trip with a .500 batting average, 10 runs scored, and 14 RBI in nine games. She now has 99 base hits in her career.

The Forester Athlete of the Week is chosen by the Athletic Department on Thursdays. Watts also earned the award once as a freshman and twice last year.
