Nancy Findeisen Named Forester Athlete of the Week
Freshman pitcher comes back from injury to record two solid performances

LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College freshman pitcher Nancy Findeisen (Beecher, IL/ Beecher) has been selected the Forester Athlete of the Week for the week of May 3rd-9th.

After pitching only six innings since March 14th due to injury, Findeisen started two of the Forester's three games at the Midwest Conference Championship Tournament. 

On Friday (May 4th), Findeisen helped the Foresters stave off elimination by beating Monmouth College, 4-3, in eight innings. She pitched all eight innings, scattering 11 hits, and striking out seven with two walks. All three runs were earned. 

On Saturday (May 3rd), she pitched six innings in a 3-1 loss to St. Norbert College and allowed six hits, two runs (both earned), and no walks with six strikeouts. 

The Lake Forest College Athletic Department selects the Forester Athlete of the Week each Thursday.
