LENIEK NAMED TO ACADEMIC ALL DISTRICT SECOND TEAM
     Karyn Leniek, a junior third baseman on the Lake Forest College softball team, has been selected to the 1999 GTE/College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-District Five Second Team for the Women's Softball College Division.  The District Five College Division is comprised of NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA schools from Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.  Ten members comprise the first team, while there are 11 on the second and third teams. 
     Leniek, from Carol Stream, IL and a graduate of Glenbard North High School, finished the '99 season with a .219 batting average, a .333 on base average, 2 runs, 3 runs batted in, and 1 home run.  She also committed just one error and had a .973 fielding percentage.  Lake Forest finished with an 11-17 overall record, including a 5-3 conference mark.
