Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-Region Teams Include Three Lake Forest Players
Mallory Norton Named to the Second Team, Tracy Rainey and Jordan Ratliff to the Third

LAKE FOREST, Ill. -The Louisville Slugger/National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Region Teams were released Thursday (May 13) and three Foresters made the list. Senior third baseman Mallory Norton (Chicago, Ill./ Resurrection) was a Second Team All-Great Lakes Region selection while senior shortstop Tracy Rainey (Roselle, Ill./Lake Park) and freshman pitcher Jordan Ratliff (Petersburg, Mich./Summerfield) earned Third Team honors.

Norton led Lake Forest College with a .412 batting average, 54 base hits, 3 triples (tied), 7 home runs, 90 total bases, and a .687 slugging percentage. She broke the single-season team record for total bases and tied the mark for base hits. Norton also set new career-highs with 33 runs scored and 32 driven in. She was named All-Midwest Conference South Division on Tuesday.

Tracy Rainey Jordan Ratliff
Rainey was selected as the 2010 MWC South Division Position Player of the Year. She batted .320 on the season and led the Foresters with 35 runs batted in. Among her 41 base hits were nine doubles and four home runs and she posted a .966 fielding percentage in 170 chances at shortstop.

Ratliff posted a 12-6 record with two saves and a 1.69 earned run average in 2010. Her 141.0 innings pitched and 93 strikeouts on the season both rank second in team history and she was named MWC South Division Pitcher of the Year on Tuesday.

The Foresters finished the season with an overall record of 24-14-1 and a league mark of 12-1 to claim their fifth consecutive MWC South Division title. The team reached the championship game of the MWC Tournament for the eighth time in the last nine seasons.
