Anna Risi Named Forester Athlete of the Week
Freshman helped lead team to split at Carthage

in walks and sacrifice bunts.
LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College softball player Anna Risi (Highland Park, IL/Highland Park) was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday (May 4) for her performance in a doubleheader split at Carthage College the previous Thursday (April 27).

Carthage won the opener 4-3 and Risi batted 1-for-3 in the game. She walked with one out in the top of the first inning and scored the contest’s first run later in the frame.

The freshman second baseman was 2-for-2 in the second game, a 4-0 Forester victory. She also scored a run, stole a base, walked, and recorded a sacrifice bunt.

Risi is batting .276 on the season and leads Lake Forest with 14 walks and 10 sacrifice bunts. She is also tied-for-second on the squad with eight stolen bases and fourth with 20 runs scored.

The Forester Athlete of the Week is chosen by members of the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
