Michael Ojdana will look to have another record-setting season as the Foresters strive for a conference championship.
2005-06 Men's Preview: Bigger and Better

LAKE FOREST, IL - With third-place finishes at the Midwest Conference Championship Meet the last two years, Head Coach Alec Webster hopes an increase in roster size will take his team to the top of the standings in 2005-06. “We have performed well at the conference meet the last couple of years,” he begins. “However, we did not have quite enough athletes to win it.”

Last year the Foresters were a young team and it was a freshman that proved to be the top performer. Michael Ojdana set school records in the 500- and 1000-freestyle and also brought home individual conference titles in the 200- and 500-freestyle events.

The squad lost just one senior to graduation and is counting on a strong group of upperclassmen, including Derek Drayer and captains Aaron Koop and Jon D’Angelo, to lead a larger team with a number of talented newcomers in 2005-06. Koop has been a consistent performer during his first three seasons and finished among the top eight in the MWC in eight of his nine individual races at the conference meet during his career. D’Angelo and Drayer were also among the top eight in the conference three times last season and all three swimmers will continue to play a major role on the Foresters’ relay teams.
