Senior Erin Colwell will provide leadership as the Forester women look to claim the conference crown.
2005-06 Women's Preview: Putting It All Together

LAKE FOREST, IL - Last year the Forester women’s team took second at the Midwest Conference Championship Meet and went on to place 27th at the national meet, thanks to a pair of divers. This was a step up from the Foresters’ 43rd-place finish in 2004, which came from the exploits of one swimmer. Head Coach Alec Webster is looking to add to both of those achievements in 2006. “Next year our goal is to have even more individuals qualify and place at nationals,” he states. “If we do that, our other objective of winning conference should fall into place.”

Divers Maggie Rezac and Kendall Swett are looking to match their accomplishments as freshmen. Both won a conference championship and earned All-American honors, Swett set a school record, and Rezac was named the MWC Diver of the Year. Six-time conference champion and two-time MWC Swimmer of the Year Chelsea Bueter plans on joining the pair for her second trip to nationals in 2005-06.

Webster will look to senior captains Erin Colwell and Kelly Albanese for leadership and to numerous freshman to help get his squad to the next level. “We have a lot of talent returning and several newcomers that could help us win a conference title.”
