Lake Forest College Swimming and Diving News & Notes December 6, 1999  Contact:  Scott Rucker, SID EDGELL NAMED MWC SWIMMER OF THE WEEK      Lake Forest senior swimmer Rob Edgell, from Alsager, England, produced five solid times at the Wheaton College Swimming Invitational last week and was named the Midwest Conference's first Swimmer of the Week. Swimming unshaved and untapered, he clocked a 48.69 in the 100 freestyle and a 1:46.63 in the 200 free. Edgell went 54.74 in the 100 backstroke and 2:01.85 in the 200 back. His time in the 200 individual medley was 1:59.80.  "Rob qualified for consolation finals in all his scoring events against tapered and shaved swimmers from some of the best Division III schools in the country," commented Coach Alec Webster.      The Midwest Conference Sports Information Directors select the league's Swimmers of the Week.
