Maggie Rezac Named Forester Athlete of the Week
Junior was named MWC Diver of the Year on Sunday

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Lake Forest College diver Maggie Rezac (Omaha, Neb./Marian) was named Forester Athlete of the Week Thursday (February 15) for her performance at the Midwest Conference Championship Meet the previous weekend (February 9-11).

Rezac, a junior, scored more points in the two diving events combined than anyone in the history of the conference. She won Friday’s 1-meter competition with a school and conference record mark of 493.80 and claimed Saturday’s 3-meter title with 504.80 points. Both scores are higher than the best marks in the nation entering the weekend.

Rezac was named MWC Diver of the Year for the second time in three years. She now owns three conference titles and three runner-up finishes in her career.

Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays. Rezac also earned the award twice earlier in the season and twice two years ago as a freshman.
