Maggie Rezac Named Forester Athlete of the Week
Senior earned Diver of the Year award at MWC Championships

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Lake Forest College diver Maggie Rezac (Omaha, Neb./Marian) was named Forester Athlete of the Week Thursday (February 21) for her performance at the Midwest Conference Championship Meet the previous weekend (February 15-17).

Rezac, a senior, was named MWC Female Diver of the Year for the third time in her career. She started the meet by scoring 469.90 points off the 1-meter board on Friday to break the pool record she set just 20 days earlier. On Saturday she won the 3-meter competition with 466.65 points, nearly 125 more than the runner-up in that event.

Rezac was also the league’s Diver of the Year as a freshman and junior and has claimed five conference titles in her career. She will represent the Foresters at the NCAA Division III Championship Meet at Miami University (Ohio) March 13-15.

Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays. Rezac also earned the award on November 15 of this season, four times last year, and twice as a freshman.
