Jenna Sasanfar and Michael Ojdana Named MWC Performers of the Week
Swimmers each win a pair of individual events against Illinois Institute of Technology


Sasanfar and Ojdana each won two individual events Saturday.
LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College swimmers Jenna Sasanfar (Tonka Bay, MN/Minnetonka) and Michael Ojdana (Cincinnati, OH/St. Xavier) were named Midwest Conference Performers of the Week on Tuesday (February 7) for their performances last Saturday (February 4) in a dual meet against Illinois Institute of Technology.

Sasanfar, a freshman, helped lead Lake Forest to a dual meet victory as the freshman placed first in both the 200-meter freestyle (2:25.56) and the 100-meter backstroke (1:13.70). She also led off for the winning 200-meter relay team, which finished almost six seconds faster than ITT’s second place team.

Ojdana was also victorious in a pair of individual events. The sophomore took first place in the 200-meter freestyle (2:00.55) as well as the 100-meter freestyle (56.96).

Sasanfar owns the women’s team’s top times this season in the 50-freestyle, 200-freestyle, and both the 100- and 200-backstroke. Ojdana has posted the Foresters’ fastest marks of 2005-06 in the 100-, 200-, 500-, 1000-, and 1650-freestyle events.

Midwest Conference Performers of the Week are selected by the league’s sports information director. It marked the third time in Ojdana's career that he has earned the award.
