January 15, 2005 Contact: Mike Wajerski, SID Lake Forest Swimmers 3rd and 4th at Wheaton Quad The Foresters' sole victory was registered by sophomore Chelsea Bueter (Swisher, IA/Prairie) in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:28.20). She also finished third in the 200-yard individual medley (2:15.63). Freshman Mia Hable (Hudson, OH/Hudson) posted two third-place finishes. Her time of 11:14.65 in the 1000-yard freestyle bettered her previous season best by almost 14 seconds, and she clocked a 5:30.75 in the 500 free. Classmate Kathryn Hirt (McKinney, TX/McKinney North) turned in a lifetime best of 2:35.16 to place fourth in the 200-yard breaststroke. Junior Erin Colwell (Northfield, MN/Northfield) was one of four women who added top-six finishes. She took fourth in the 200-yard backstroke (2:25.68) and sixth in the 200-yard butterfly (2:23.36). Placing sixth in one event apiece were sophomore Anne Haas (South Berwick, ME/St. Thomas Aquinas) and freshmen Lauren Petersen (Arvada, CO/J.K. Mullen) and Stephanie Kierzek (Vernon Hills, IL/Vernon Hills). The Forester men were led by freshman Michael Ojdana (Cincinnati, OH/St. Xavier), who was third in the 200 (1:48.21) and 500 (5:05.61) freestyles and seventh in the 100 free (50.48). Sophomore Jon D'Angelo (Ann Arbor, MI/Ann Arbor) and junior Aaron Koop (Newton, KS/Newton) combined for four top-eight finishes. D'Angelo placed fourth in the 200-yard butterfly (2:08.43) and seventh in the 500-yard freestyle (5:14.65), while Koop took seventh in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:22.90) and eighth in the 200-yard individual medley (2:11.26).
