for Lake Forest Swimming and Diving
Three Foresters paced the women's team with two individual wins apiece. Freshman Chelsea Bueter (Swisher, IA/Prairie) recorded another national B-cut qualifying time (59.67) to win the 100-Butterfly and she claimed the 400-Individual Medley in 4:44.43. Sophomore Marie Pool (Redding, CA/Central Valley) was victorious in the 200-Freestyle (2:03.67) and the 100-Breaststroke (1:16.21). Senior Julie Weglarz (Phoenix, AZ/Xavier College Prep) took the top spot in the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events, scoring 164.25 and a season-best 198 points, respectively. Also getting in on the winning ways were sophomore Erin Colwell (Northfield, MN/Northfield) and junior Emily Woods (Signal Mountain, TN/Girls Prep) . Colwell's triumph came in the 500-Freestyle (5:35.58), while Woods was first to the wall in the 50-Freestyle (26.47). The two also combined with sophomore Genia Lindsey (Albuquerque, NM/Sandia) to claim five runner-up finishes. The Forester men captured two individual wins at Lawrence. Senior Brady Lowdermilk (Parker, CO/Regis) took the 100-Backstroke in 58.11 and sophomore Aaron Koop (Newton, KS/Newton) was victorious in the 100-Breaststroke (1:06.09). In his first 1650-Freestyle effort of the season Lowdermilk added a runner-up finish (18:50.51), while Koop was third in the 400-Individual Medley (4:44.91). Seniors Aaron
Lawlor (Vernon Hills, IL/Libertyville) and Jeremy
Koop ( Newton, KS/Newton) each posted two top-three finishes as well.
Lawlor placed second in the 100-Butterfly (57.40) and third in the 100-Freestyle
(53.58). Koop swam season-best times in two of his three events and finished
second in the 100-Breaststroke (1:07.69) and third in the 100-Butterfly
(1:02.51).
