Emily Watts Named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week
Freshman won two individual events and a relay

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Lake Forest College women’s swimmer Emily Watts (Danville, Ind./Danville Community) was named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week on Tuesday (January 27) for her performance in a double-dual meet against visiting Carroll University and Lawrence University the previous Saturday (January 24).

Watts, a freshman, won both of her individual events at the meet. She finished the 50-meter freestyle in in 29.40 seconds and the 100-meter freestyle in 1:04.69.

She also led off the 200-freestyle relay, the final event of the meet, with the Foresters slightly trailing Carroll by five points and Lawrence by three. She got the home team off to a significant lead and the next three swimmers increased it to clinch victory over both opponents.
