Claire Perrott Named Forester Athlete of the Week
Freshman helped team claim narrow double dual victories

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Lake Forest College women’s swimmer Claire Perrott (Northfield, Minn./Colegio San Isidro de Heredia) was named Forester Athlete of the Week Thursday (January 29) for her performance in double dual victories over visiting Carroll University and Lawrence University the previous Saturday (January 24).

The Foresters defeated Carroll 51-49 and Lawrence 53-49 so each point was important to the meet’s outcome. Perrott, a freshman, accounted for eight points on her own by winning the 100-meter butterfly in 1:14.24 and placing second in the 200-meter freestyle in 2:19.30. Lake Forest entered the 200-freestyle relay, the final event of the contest, trailing both opponents by just a few points. Perrott and her teammates won the event, which was worth seven points, by more than seven seconds to clinch the victories.

Perrott is currently ranked among the top 12 in the Midwest Conference in six different events.

Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
