Chelsea Bueter and Jeremy Koop each recorded a win at Calvin.
GRAND RAPIDS, MI - The Lake Forest College swimming and diving teams found the going rough Saturday (January 31) in their final dual meet of the season at Calvin College. In a meet in which five different Foresters were victorious, the Knights beat the Lake Forest women 124-85 and the men 129-61.

A win in the 200-Breaststroke (2:30.34) kept alive freshman Chelsea Bueter's (Swisher, IA/Prairie) season-long streak of consecutive meets with at least one individual victory. She was also the runner-up in the 200-Butterfly (2:16.84) and third in the 200-Individual Medley (2:14.91), scoring 16.5 points to lead the Foresters. Bueter's time in the 200-Butterfly is the Foresters' fastest this season.

Junior Emily Woods (Signal Mountain, TN/Girls Prep) and sophomore Marie Pool (Redding, CA/Central Valley) each claimed a victory and a second place finish. Woods won the 50-Freestyle (26.66) as she did last Saturday at Lawrence and was second in the 200-Backstroke (2:25.26). Pool was victorious in the 100-Freestyle (56.33) and runner-up in the 200-Freestyle (2:06.35)

The Forester men's scoring leader was senior Jeremy Koop ( Newton, KS/Newton), who won the 50-Freestyle with a time of 24.29 and was third in the 200-Breaststroke in 2:28.59.

Right behind Koop was freshman transfer Michael White (Westminster, CO/Northglenn), who registered the men's other win with a score of 119.80 in the 1-meter diving competition.

Freshman Jonathan D'Angelo (Ann Arbor, MI/Ann Arbor) and senior Brady Lowdermilk (Parker, CO/Regis) combined for four top-three finishes. D'Angelo was runner-up in the 200-Butterfly (2:12.41) and 500-Freestyle (5:18.24), while Lowdermilk took second in the 200-Freestyle (1:53.84) and third in the 200-Backstroke (2:07.63). Lowdermilk's 200-Freestyle time is the Foresters' fastest this season and just four-and-a-half seconds off his career best.

The Foresters will celebrate Senior Day, Parents' Day and Alumni Day when they take on the Illinois Institute of Technology and North Central College in a double dual meet Saturday (February 7). The final home meet of the season begins at 11:00 a.m.
