LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Lake Forest College Head Diving Coach Susan Bromberg announced Monday (June 16) that, after seven years with the Foresters, she had accepted the same position at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Bromberg was the 2006 NCAA Division III Diving Coach of the Year after directing then sophomores Kendal Swett and Maggie Rezac to All-American honors in both diving events, including a national title for Swett in the 3-meter competition. Both divers were All-Americans in one of the two events the year before and Rezac went on to finish among the top eight in the country in both events again the last two seasons. Forester divers have swept their events at the Midwest Conference Championship Meet each of the last four seasons and Bromberg also directed Dana Tate to a conference title off the 1-meter board in 2002, her senior season.

“We are extremely grateful for what Susan has done for our swimming & diving program over the last seven seasons,” commented Athletic Director Jackie Slaats. “Highlighted by their performance in 2006, our divers have been among the best in the nation and she obviously deserves a great deal of the credit. We wish her continued success in the future ”
