Chelsea Bueter Earns All-American Honors
Freshman places in two events at National Meet

Chelsea Bueter is the program's 31st All-American.
LAKE FOREST, IL - Thanks solely to the efforts of freshman Chelsea Bueter (Swisher, IA/Prairie), the Lake Forest College women’s swimming & diving team placed 43rd at the NCAA Division III National Championship Meet over the weekend (March 11-13).

On Thursday, Bueter posted the 15th-fastest 200-individual medley time in the preliminaries but moved up four places to 11th in the finals that evening with a school record time of 2:10.01.

Bueter’s time of 4:41.08 in Friday’s 400-individual medley ranked 22nd so she did not qualify for the finals that night.

Her best performance of the meet came in Saturday’s 200-breaststroke. She recorded the eighth-fastest time (2:24.11) in the preliminaries and finished in the same place that evening in the finals.

Bueter is the 31st Forester female to earn All-American honors. She set a school record in the 200-breaststroke (2:23.99) earlier in the season and was named Midwest Conference Swimmer of the Year after winning three individual races and participating on a pair of victorious relay teams at the MWC Championship Meet on February 13-15.
